Structural genomics

Structural genomics was coined in around 1995. This term was used to find all the structural folds or superfamlies of proteins in complete genomes. An application of this was to solve structures that are not then known. Chris Sander's group members used this term as I remember. Burkhard Rost suggested this in a paper as well.
