Meme evolution (memetics) is viewed as a cultural adaptation of Darwin's evolution. However, memomics proposes that evolution of memes is just the same as gene evolution. It is under the principles as evolution.
There is a general information propagation that is more fundamental than genetic, memetic, computational, or any kind of informational entities. This view is summarized as 'covolution'. Evolution is a subset of covolution. Memomics is a part of omics.
