BioOriginality:

A Principle of Collective Intellectual Evolution

BioOriginality asserts that all original information and materials are, in reality, the product of pre-existing data, information, and knowledge.
Therefore, the origin of any intellectual work cannot be attributed solely to a single individual.

(Here, "bio" refers to an organic network that transcends time and space.)

In practical terms, this means that there is no single "founding father" or "founding mother" of knowledge.
The concept of BioOriginality is closely linked to BioLicense.

In practice, if any website, media, or intellectual project operates under BioLicense (and thus follows the BioOriginality Principle), it does not have a singular, original founder.

Instead, every present and future contributor becomes a "perpetual founder" of the project. For instance, in the original BioPerl project license, it was stated that anyone who edited even a single character in a BioPerl module became an owner and primary participant in the project. This reflects the idea that intellectual property is constantly changing and evolving.

Moreover, BioLicense itself is governed by BioLicense.
Thus, the true founder of BioLicense, and of any other project utilizing BioLicense, is YOU—the reader and contributor—who influences the world both directly and indirectly through your participation.
